is a TeleClass? How Does it Work?
People often think that they are alone in their concerns and questions. Find out below that you are definitely not alone. I have compiled many of the most frequently asked questions about TeleClasses. Get comfortable with this easy way to take classes, all within the convenience of your own choice of space. Why should I take a Teleclass? Do I need any special equipment to participate? How do I get access to the TeleClass? What are the benefits of attending? Can I really experience the power of your work over the phone? Is it expensive to participate in a TeleClass? What if I miss the TeleClass or I'm not available at the scheduled time? Are there handouts, and if so how will I get them? Similarly, what is a TeleCircle? What is a TeleSession? I have more questions; this is all new to me. How do I get them answered?
Why should I take a Teleclass?
TeleClasses have become one of the most popular and highly effective ways to learn something new or advance your knowledge in a particular area. It is one of the most convenient ways to participate in a class or workshop. Here are some of the benefits: No traveling necessary to attend. No dress requirements (you can be in your PJs or sweats). No expensive equipment to buy. All you need is a phone to participate. Connect with people from all over the world who have similar goals and interests. Even if you live in another state or country, you can take one of our classes . TeleClasses are recorded so you can listen again for deeper learning. It's a very cost effective way to learn new skills and strategies in the supportive presence of a group. A TeleClass is a class, workshop or course that takes place over the phone by conference call. Lots of people have discovered the affordability and convenience of TeleClasses. Deepen your existing knowledge or learn something new. Save on gas! You can literally be anywhere in the world and benefit. I've had participants from all over the USA, from Canada and the United Kingdom.
How does it work?Our TeleClasses take place on the phone as conference calls via a phone bridge. A phone bridge is simply a single telephone number that all participants call at the scheduled class time. You might be wondering how this works in terms of feeling connected to each other and the material. It just does. It feels natural in no time. Our TeleClasses are highly interactive. Time is allotted for presentation of the material and for you to ask questions and share your experiences. And you’ll have access to a recording of the call at no additional cost to you.
Do I need any special equipment to participate?No! All you need is a phone. You don't need any other equipment or to travel to a specific location to "attend".
How do I get access to the TeleClass?It’s easy! Upon enrolling into a TeleClass, you will receive an email containing detailed instructions. These instructions will include the phone number to dial in and the access code you will need to enter the call, as well as some tips and guidelines for getting the most out of the process. You will also receive an outline and handouts by email a few days before the scheduled class, circle or session.
What are the benefits of attending?It’s convenient! One of the benefits is that you can join from anywhere as long as you have access to a telephone. You can be at your work place, sitting at home in your pajamas, or in a serene and quiet outdoor setting on your cell phone and easily participate.
Why do you offer TeleClasses?I‘ve been facilitating TeleClasses, TeleCircles and working with clients and students over the phone for 6 years. I started offering TeleClasses and TeleCircles at the request of people living in other parts of the country who wanted to experience me and benefit from my work. Many people tell me that there isn't anyone in their area offering the work I do in the way I do it, so they are very grateful that my classes and workshops are now just a phone call away!
Can I really experience the power of your work over the phone?YES! Over the years I have developed a real gift for creating sacred space and a sense of community over the phone. People who have attended my TeleClasses and TeleCircles have commented on how connected they feel to me and to other participants by phone.
Is it expensive to participate in a TeleClass?No. TeleClasses are a cost effective option to traveling to our center for a workshop or class. I’ve known people to travel as long as five hours by car or plane to take a class with me not offered by anyone in their area. As I mentioned above, there is no expensive equipment to buy and there are no traveling expenses. Our standard rates for classes, circles and sessions apply, which are reasonably priced and a great value for what you receive. The number that you will call to access the class will most likely be a US long distance phone call for you. Most participants have a land line or cell phone with unlimited long distance so they incur no extra expense. You can also use a VOIP for no additional long distance charge or an inexpensive calling card (3 cents a minute, which translates into an additional $2.70 for the 90-minute TeleClass, circle or session).
What if I miss the TeleClass or I'm not available at the scheduled time?
Our TeleClasses are recorded and you’ll be able to access a recording of the live TeleClass within 24 hours of the conference call and will receive session notes and follow up materials as well.
Are there handouts, and if so how will I get them?You'll receive an outline via email prior to the class to let you know what we’ll be covering. You’ll also receive some great handouts to use during our time together. Afterwards, a recording of the class, session notes and follow-up materials will be sent to you. These materials will support you in putting into action the strategies and ideas covered.
Similarly, what is a TeleCircle? What is a TeleSession? A TeleCircle works the same way as a teleclass. Soon, we will be offering a monthly tele-visioning circle the first Wednesday of the month so you can experience the transforming power of visioning wherever you are. Without having to travel, you can join us for deep listening, soulful connections and divine revelation — by phone. It's convenient. It works, even by teleconference. A TeleSession is a private individual or group session over the phone. You can work with me regardless of where you live. It's the same as an in-person session. I go to my office and set the tone as if you were fully present. I'm I have a way of creating a sacred connection even over the phone. If your TeleSession is a private session, you'll be given a direct number (510 area code) to call for your appointment at the scheduled time. Otherwise, we use a bridge line as we do with teleclasses.
